FREE IMPROV WORKSHOP
Explore the basics of improv theater with writer and teaching artist Joanne Brokaw, author of "Suddenly Stardust: A Memoir (of sorts) About Fear, Freedom & Improv". In this hour long mini workshop, you'll get a taste of what it means to say "Yes And" to new experiences and have fun in a safe, no fail, high support environment. No theater or improv experience is necessary!

EXQUISITE COLLABORATION PROMPT
You're invited to contribute to another community poem! As always, to participate, all you have to do is respond to a prompt and the poem will create itself.

Our prompt for February 2022 is: A Question and An Answer.

This month, let's play a little game. You'll be writing two things:
1. A question.
2. Any answer, just not to the question you're contributing.

Join writer and improvisor Joanne Brokaw, author of "Suddenly Stardust: A Memoir (of sorts) About Fear, Freedom & Improv", for an hour of writing and creative prompts designed to recharge your creativity. Whether you're a writer, artist, or just looking for a little creative inspiration, you'll have fun in a low key, high support environment - and leave with at least one new idea!

Then stay to visit the artists at Central Creatives for Second Saturdays. Browse the galleries, visit artists in studio, and check out the latest offerings in gifts and art.

Interested in learning more about how the basics of improv can be applied to your daily life to help build self esteem, foster better communication and team work, embrace creativity, and help you learn to play again? I'm putting together some workshops for the late winter/early spring! You don't even need to have a desire to perform. This is just your opportunity to try something new in a small group, high support, lovingly encouraging, no fail environment.

Central Creatives is located at 349 West Commercial Street, in the Piano Works Mall, East Rochester, NY, 14445, right off 490. Park at the end of the plaza near Ferrari Pizza and enter through the RED single door between Weaving Arts Guild and Penn Fair Golf, right next to the antiques shop. Follow the hallway and take the elevator or stairs to the second floor. Signs will direct you to the Gallery Entrance to get to my studio (#25). When you get there, text me at the number on the door and someone will let you in.
Outside of workshop times, my studio is open by appointment only.
