In this six week series, we'll explore the basics of improvisational theater with games and exercises designed to encourage us to be more present in the moment, accept mistakes as gifts, and approach life with a sense of joy. This class is suitable for the improv-curious and anyone wanting to refresh their creative journey. No theater or improv experience necessary. If your life needs a little "can't fail" play time, this is for you. Class meets six Wednesday evenings (January 15, 2025 - February, 19, 2025; make up class if needed February 26), 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, inside Central Creatives, 349 W. Commercial Street, East Rochester, NY. You'll get directions and specific instructions on how to get into the building once you register. About the instructor: Award winning author, performer, and teaching artist Joanne Brokaw has helped countless people discover their inner artist by encouraging them to take creative risks, celebrate mistakes, and focus on the process, not the product.
