BLACK OUT POETRY WORKSHOP Thursday, April 4, 2024 11:00am - 12:00pm All ages Free Mendon Public Library 22 N Main St Honeoye Falls, NY 14472 It's an eclipse themed event as we explore the technique of Black Out Poetry! We'll use markers to black out large blocks of text on pages from magazines and books, leaving a few words to create a unique poem or piece of writing. You'll be amazed at what is illuminated in the darkness! Children should be old enough to recognize words or have a grown up with them to help create their poetry masterpiece. THE VILLAGE MAKERS MARKET OF EAST ROCHESTER Saturday, April 20, 2024 11 am - 4 pm Quinzi Lodge in Eyer Park East Rochester, NY 14445 New monthly makers market with a fundraising focus, founded by East Rochester's Fernwick Artisans and featuring dozens of local artisans, food, and more. The raffle charity this month is for Gilda's Club. April is National Poetry Month, so in addition to pendants, bookmarks, copies of Suddenly Stardust, small artwork, and other goodies we'll be creating a Exquisite Community Poem during the event.
